The course weekend on the shell technique with allogenic bone with Dr. med. dent. Kai Zwanzig and extensive hands-on exercises offered a comprehensive and intensive learning experience for experienced implantologists and dental professionals. The event, which took place on April 26 and 27, 2024, promised not only theoretical basics but also practical exercises to give participants the skills to successfully apply this innovative technique in their own practice.
On the first day, the scientific principles of allogeneic shell therapy were presented, accompanied by field reports and case studies. The participants were given a comprehensive overview of the possible applications of this technique and were able to see its effectiveness for themselves
After an eventful day full of course content, dinner together at the Papa Rhein boathouse provided a relaxed atmosphere to catch up with colleagues, share experiences and make new contacts. This social component is an important part of Argon training events as it encourages the exchange of ideas and networking.
The second day focused on practical hands-on exercises. The participants had the opportunity to try out various techniques of allogenic shell technique under the guidance of Dr. Zwanzig. From blood collection and preparation of the PRGF to incision and augmentation on the porcine jaw, the participants were able to deepen their practical skills and knowledge.
The weekend was rounded off with another dinner together, this time at the renowned Breuer winery in Rüdesheim am Rhein. With selected dishes and accompanying wines, including one, the participants were able to relax at the end of the day and reflect on what they had learned. The participants not only returned home with new knowledge and improved skills, but also with valuable memories of an inspiring and enriching event.
